So what do we expect from an IT contract engineer to do:
Excellent communication skills
A confident and proactive approach
Knowledge of Microsoft Servers And Exchange Servers: 2003, 2007, 2010, Active Directory Administration, DHCP, DNS, VPN, WSUS and Group Policy.
Installation, Configuration and Migration of Microsoft Servers [2003, 2008 R2, SMB 2011]
Cisco Routers, Load Balancing Firewalls and Network Switch Mangement and Installation (800 series, ASA 5500 Series etc)
Fault finding: Windows platforms, Active Directory, Applications and Exchange Email Enviornment
Networking, Switching, Routing [CLI or GUI configuration knowledge]
Travelling to client sites, in and around the London area.
Spending time as a secondment engineer resolving issues or supporting onsite project work with our Project Engineers.
Manage the clients IT infrastructure.
Ability to liaise with third party contacts to ensure the best possible service is delivered.
QUALIFICATIONS: MCSA/MCITP/ MCSE / MCPs / CCNA / CCNP or relevant experience.
