How we run tenant-to-tenant and Gmail to Microsoft 365 migrations
A staged, proven process covering mail, calendars, contacts, files, permissions and identity.
Tenant-to-tenant migration, step by step
Used when merging after an acquisition, splitting off a division or moving to a new tenant after a rebrand. We run it as a staged project that starts with discovery.
Discovery covers users, shared mailboxes, groups, licences, domains, Teams, SharePoint sites, OneDrive data, conditional access policies and any third-party apps connected to the source tenant.
Before cutover we prepare the destination tenant, create and match identities and agree a change-freeze window. Users keep working in the old tenant until the planned switch.
What we move
- Mailboxes, archives, calendars and contacts
- Shared and resource mailboxes, distribution lists and Microsoft 365 Groups
- OneDrive files and SharePoint document libraries, with permissions
- Teams channels, files and membership where supported
- Domains, licences, multi-factor authentication and device policies
Moving from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365
We migrate from Google Workspace, planning moves around working hours so people keep working.
Discovery covers users, shared mailboxes, groups, licences, domains, devices and the applications that depend on Google.
What we move
- Gmail mail, calendars and contacts
- Shared mailboxes and groups, recreated in Microsoft 365
- Google Drive files into OneDrive and SharePoint, with permissions reviewed
- Mobile devices and Outlook profiles reconnected
- Domains, licences and multi-factor authentication set up
Staff keep working while data moves
Pass 1 copies the bulk of existing data in the background, so nobody has to stop working.
Delta passes then copy only what has changed since the previous pass, so the gap shrinks each time. A final delta runs at cutover.
Why this works
- Staff keep using their current systems
- The cutover window is short because most data has already moved
- Results are checked against the source before cutover
A planned switch, then hands-on support
Mail flow is switched outside business hours so the change is quiet. Foxcomm stays on hand until everyone is settled.
We then walk your staff through what has changed.
What happens
- Mail flow switched outside business hours
- Outlook and mobile devices reconnected
- Day-one helpdesk support
- A walkthrough for staff of what has changed
- Old tenant or Google licences retired when you are ready
Licensing, migrations and support
What we look after in the background.

Licensing and cost review
We right-size licences between plans and remove unused seats so every licence earns its keep.
Tenant-to-tenant and Gmail migration
Discovery, preparation, a change-freeze window and delta passes, so users keep working until the planned cutover.
Microsoft 365 Copilot
Data readiness, licensing and training so Copilot is useful and safe on day one.
Support that is part of your IT
The same helpdesk that manages the rest of your IT looks after mailboxes, Teams and user issues.
How a Microsoft 365 project works
Four stages from tenant review to ongoing management.
Tenant review
We audit your email or Microsoft 365 setup, licences and security.
Migration plan
We schedule the move around working hours and agree rollback options.
Cutover and training
Mailboxes and files are migrated, then staff are trained.
Ongoing management
We administer users, licences and security with regular reviews.
